With the arrival of spring and summer, it is also time to enjoy the rooftop restaurants and bars in Paris. It is a delightful vibe! I already commented in another post how much people’s moods change in those times. Everyone gets more excited, and, as the days are longer, they take to the streets to enjoy the excellent weather. Choosing a rooftop restaurant or bar is perfect for you to drink something refreshing (a rosé wine is my tip) while marveling at the view of Paris, and, depending on where you choose, you can see a fantastic sunset.
And I say more, bar options in Paris are not lacking. You will find reliable places for the coolest and most classic, for those who want to save money and for those who like to boast. Anyway, for everyone!
Now take a look at this super list that I prepared with restaurants and bars in Paris that have a rooftop. I’m sure one of them will suit you. 😉
Best rooftop bars in Paris
Located at the top of the Holiday Inn Notre-Dame hotel, the 43 Cocktail Bar boasts a privileged view of Paris, with views of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the beautiful rooftops. The bar is not very big (reservations are required), but it is a friendly atmosphere, with tables, chairs and a lot of green.
Oh, to drink, I suggest choosing the “DIY” option (do it yourself), as you make up the cocktail and the bartender prepares it on time. Also, enjoy the place to make many photos that will give that aggregate on Instagram. 😉 The price range for drinks ranges from 12 € to 17 €.
Address: 4 rue Danton, 75006 Paris
Mama Shelter is a hotel chain with a whole new concept. In Paris, the hotel’s décor was signed by designer Philippe Starck. The hotel also has a bar/restaurant with delicious dishes and fabulous service to make you feel “at home.”
Although it is the restaurant of a hotel, the place attracts those who live in Paris and wants to have a funky atmosphere. For the record, the ladies’ room has a ceiling tv and in the middle of the restaurant is a games table. I thought it was awesome !!
On Sundays, from 5 pm to 11 pm, opens Mama Shelter’s rooftop, with beach chairs, an umbrella, armchairs, a game table, and a bar for those who want to have a few drinks outdoors.
Address: 109 Rue de Bagnolet, 75020 Paris
On the roof of the Printemps department store is the Le Déli-cieux restaurant, where you can take a break for lunch or a drink.
With a modern décor in shades of white, it is one of the bars in Paris with a beautiful view of the French capital. You can see our Iron Lady, the glass roof of the Grand Palais, and the Montparnasse Tower.
From another angle, you have the view of Montmartre, more precisely the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Prices are not absurdly expensive, and the only weakness is that it closes early. Open Monday to Friday, from 9.30 am to 8 pm; Thursday until 10 and Sunday until 7PM.
Address: 66 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris
It is from the seventh floor of the hotel Terrass, in the rooftop restaurant, that we can have one of the most beautiful views of Montmartre. It’s also a great place to have a drink with friends, as well as a romantic dinner for two.
The restaurant has a modern, minimalist décor, an open kitchen to see the chef’s creations, table football, and various sofas to enjoy the panoramic view in a very comfortable way. The bar/restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During the weekends, it offers brunch to its customers.
Address: 12-14 Rue Joseph-de-Maistre, 75018 Paris
Divided into three floors, the Brasserie Barbès has two levels for the restaurant part and a glass-domed third for the bar. It also has a rooftop terrace with loungers, great for catching a vitamin D.
The vast brasserie is established right around the corner, but it is not the best neighborhoods of Paris (I have to be honest). However, it is a place that has been frequented by hype people for being a very cool space and, at best, far from clichés. Another plus point is the cocktail menu with different combinations, and some are served in “bottle” – lots.
Address: 2, Boulevard Barbès, 75018 Paris
Set atop the Center Georges Pompidou (hence the name), the Georges restaurant features a sun terrace with a beautiful view of Paris – you can see a little of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower.
Located in the lively Le Marais district, it is a meeting point for happy hour. The place is lovely, but not my favorite. However, some like it hehe. In fact, it is very popular with tourists who enjoy it very much.
Address: Place Georges Pompidou, 75004 Paris
Warwick Paris is yet another rooftop bar hotel. Located on the outskirts of the famous Champs-Élysées avenue and with a very charming old building, it offers unrivaled views, wicker chairs, and white cushions. The bar and restaurant are open year-round, serving from breakfast to dinner. There is even a special spring menu, which includes cocktail, two starters, main course, and dessert for 68 € / person.
Address: 5 Rue de Berri, 75008 Paris
Open both summer and winter, Le Pechoir is one of the trendiest rooftop bars in Paris. With wooden furniture, white tents, wine barrels, and green plants, it was one of the first bars created in New York-style Paris. In winter, the bar gets a heated tent to make the atmosphere cozier.
Le Perchoir has a cozy atmosphere, with delicious drinks and lively people. It is a perfect place to see the famous Parisian rooftops and a beautiful sunset! Oh, one downside: You have to be early to get in and get a good seat. Because it is always crowded and with a queue on the side. The bar is open from 16h to 2h on weekdays and departs from 14h to weekends.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to Le Perchoir, there is Le Perchoir Marais on top of the BHV department store (52 Rue de Rivoli, 75004). Both in the same vibe and excitement! 😉
Address: 14 Rue Crespin du Gast, 75011 Paris
This is one of the best options for those who want to see the Eiffel Tower very close. Les Ombres restaurant bar is on the roof of the Musée du Quai Branly, on the outskirts of the Iron Lady.
The view is fascinating, and the atmosphere sophisticated and pleasant. Perfect spot for a truly romantic dinner! The dinner menu – with starter, main course and, dessert – leaves € 71 per person.
Address: 27 Quai Branly, 75007 Paris
On the terrace of the Galeries Lafayette department store, the flagship store, in addition to having a space to view the city from above, for free, there is an ideal Club Bar to take a break after a day shopping or just beating the streets of Paris.
The bar is open both summer and winter – at this time, glass domes are installed to protect from the cold. In the menu, you will find choices of champagnes, cocktails, wines, and snack foods.
Address: 40 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris
The Generator is a hostel with a lively rooftop bar. It attracts a younger audience and willing to enjoy without spending a lot of euros. In addition to the lower price than other rooftop bars in Paris, it has a panoramic view of the Montmartre district, specifically the Sacré Cœur Basilica.
Address: 11 Place du Colonel Fabien, 75010 Paris
So, let’s go to one of these rooftop bars in Paris? #call me 🙂
